DILE Insert |

Benefits
of the DILE Below are a handful
of "benefits" (as I see it) of the DILE Insert Foreskin Restoration
System. Indeed, I'm quite biased! The first set of "benefits" are items
that I've added since introducing the v08 model (i.e., the model with the
hemispheres and not the balls) _____________________________________________________________________________ - Low overhead costs
result in a quality product at a reasonable rate (as compared to other more
recently introduced internal expanding devices; note that a variety of "Economy
Packages" are available) - Internal tension
can be adjusted rapidly and discretely through a pants leg (i.e., no need to
retire to the man's room or behind closed doors); do it during dinner with
the family (I DO!) - Clear retainer,
allows for quick and accurate visual inspection of skin condition (i.e., if
skin is bunched or if it is turning white due to too much tension, etc...) - Clear retainer
helps reduce the amount of skin that needs to be "caught" between
retainer and tugger (as you can clearly see how
much is there), increasing the amount of skin available for "tug"
(I have been able to get a "good tug" with only ~0.5 inch of skin
"trapped" between the retainer and top hemisphere) - Flexible and
forgiving silicone retainer is very soft and pliable - Top hemisphere
(this part used to be the top small ball) can be interchanged onto a
"tugging rod" to eliminate the need to purchase a tugger separately (see "Economy Packages" in
the price list) - Expanding DILE can
be used as a tugger if you wish (i.e., not
expanded) - Can easily
concentrate on different sections of the skin tube (front, back, left/right
side) by simply repositioning the bottom hemisphere - Simple and elegant
(IMO) design; few mover parts (only need to turn the key ring) - Push rod is
plastic and can bend slightly if tugging to the waist; metal rods may not be as
flexible - The only metal
part is the key ring that is used for turning and as a latch point to tug
with a strap (note: the key ring simply makes dialing up the DILE easier, but
it is by no means required - i.e., you could use the DILE without this metal
part if you are concerned about air port security issues) - The DILE is the
only device with a quantifiable history of progress* (see: Mel's Progress)
(*as far as I know and as of this writing) - Uses a convex
(round) rather than concave (cone) or flat (plate) type of pusher, avoiding
"edges" that can dig into glans and
surrounding skin. The convex surface
(like a ball) of the bottom portion of the DILE allows the skin to naturally
roll up around the structure - Comes in interchangeable
T-Tape and Tapeless versions - The DILE T-Tape or
Tapeless tuggers can be purchased separately and
used (at some point in the future) with an expanding DILE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - The DILE Insert
Foreskin restoration System is perhaps one of the most versatile/flexible
foreskin restoration systems available (IMO). You can use the DILE as a T-Tape or
Tapeless device, with or without a strap and, now with the DILE tuggers,
you can even use the system at night. - The DILE (any
version) is quite comfortable and inconspicuous under clothing. - The DILE (T-Tape
and Tapeless versions) has a continuous range in length and tension can be
adjusted by simply turning the key ring (this can be done through a pants
pocket if you are wearing the DILE loose and not strapped). - Because of the use
of "tabs" with the T-Tape version, you can concentrate your effort
on bottom, top, left or right by not "latching up" the tabs for the
sides that you do not want "stretched". - The DILE is (at
this writing) the only internal expanding device that can be used with
T-Tapes. - If memory serves,
the DILE was the first "internal expansion" system to be offered
for sale (in ~1998; see Evolution of the DILE)
and now (Nov. 2006), after ~9 years of "on and off" use by myself,
the DILE has an extensive and quantifiable "track record" (in terms
of specific growth rates; see Mel's Project - My
Progress & Results). |
